LAKE FORK FISHING REPORT

2012 Lake Fork Guide Report
We are
starting our mornings out with a good topwater bite on points and banks
with shoreline grass. Poppers and walking baits will both work, but
usually the fish will prefer one over the other on any given day.
After that
bite subsides, we are switching to a Lake Fork Trophy Lures Magic Shad and
working it in the same or similar areas. Many days, you can work
this pattern throughout the day.
When I leave
the shallow fish, I start graphing deep structure to look for schools of
feeding fish. Once I locate them, I'm using several different baits
and presentations to get them to bite.
My favorite
way to catch fish is on a 1 oz football jig. Santone makes what I
believe to be one of the best football jigs on the market for fishing the
heavier cover here on Lake Fork. I will trail my jig with an LFT
Hyper Freak, Baby Hyper Freak, or a Flipper.
If I can't
get them to bite the jig, I will go to a Carolina Rigged LFT Hyperstick in
Watermelon Seed, a drop shot, a heavy Santone spinnerbait, or a Storm
swimbait.
If you would
like to come out and catch some big fish in deep water, please email me,
text me, or call me for available dates!!!
